Could it be strange returning to the grind? John Slattery: Yes, this will be our first week of shooting. However the only factor that's strange is returning to the five a.m. morning. We shoot about the east side of L.A., and I have got a location in Santa Monica. Fortunately there is not lots of traffic about the freeway at 5 a.m, but that is the only real factor good about getting out of bed at this hour. Slattery:Playing drunk is not the way in which I think about it -- I am playing the scene. And believe me, it's all regulated within the stage directions on our show. What's comforting is the fact that we are such good hands. Even when a plotline is disturbing -- like when Roger used blackface -- you realize Matt Weiner has a very good reason for this. Roger is consuming more, but he's pretty resilient. He's endurance -- a minimum of I really hope he is doing!
