The Closer Creator James Duff Previews "Road Block"
The Closer For many in our last season, the questions we have been asking about love cope with its passionate side. Within the five winter episodes, we've veered gradually for the costs of this passion. When I have noted before, really the only promise you get with love is it must finish that people continue loving, when confronted with certain loss, is among the nobler traits of humanity actually, it might be our savior like a species.Devotion and adoration aren't limited to stuff that are great for us. Many people, actually, love stuff that are extremely clearly harmful to them, we can't but marvel at their options. Such may be the situation in tonight's episode, "Road Block," which signifies the most effective of the items The Closer needs to offer. You will find several interesting firsts within this psychologically billed story, not minimal which will be the premiere looks of Elizabeth Perkins and Mark Moses as LAPD Police Commissioner and the alcoholic wife. The script, composed with a author who became a member of our rotation this year, the truly amazing Jim Leonard, and directed by Nelson McCormick, who supplies a giant boost of adrenalin for each tv program that he is applicable his enormous energy, "Road Block" takes Major Crimes on the wild detour that dramatizes precisely how hard law enforcement need to work to find the goods on someone they are fully aware is guilty. As Peter Goldman keeps telling Brenda, "What one knows and what it's possible to prove are two entirely various things.Inch And coping with drunks is tricky, even just in the very best of conditions.A vehicle crash, popular-and-run that transforms into murder and 2 families, torn apart by one addiction, pulse with an interesting chase for Deputy Chief Manley and her division, even though "Road Block" isn't...really Christmassy, it will carry by using it an alert or two concerning the double-edged sword we call Holiday Cheer.I have to leave off writing during the day and go back to Griffith Park where, today, we shoot The Closer's last crime scene. When I finish the wintertime blogs, we'll have completely finished filming our series finale. There's much to think about between now and also the hour it airs, but it is never inappropriate to stop and thank you for adhering around completely towards the bittersweet finish.Until in a few days...- James Duff

What exactly are we able to expect within the show? It's anyone's guess, but we're wanting for sketches that showcase Daniel's unique history on stage and screen. For instance... Song-and-Dance After Daniel's starring submit "How you can achieve Business" this year, we're expecting him to follow along with together with inside the actions of Christopher Walken by getting an exciting-out, fully choreographed singing monologue to start the show. Scared Straight, Hogwarts-style! Hugh Hefner Talks Spicing Up Lindsay Lohans Playboy Reshoot
First Released: December 16, 2011 6:11 PM EST Credit: Access Hollywood Caption Access Hollywoods Rob Robinson and Playboys Hugh Hefner, December 15, 2011LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Lindsay Lohans Playboy problem hit newsstands today and Access Hollywoods Rob Robinson swept up with Hugh Hefner to find the particulars around the actress Marilyn Monroe-inspired shoot. Hef states the tribute would be a last-minute choice after he was disappointed using what the digital photographer first shot with Lindsay. I saw the outcomes of the very first day of shooting and it wasn't things i was searching for, Hef told Rob within an interview in the Playboy Mansion on Thursday. [Lindsay] hadnt bared everything in the first and she or he appeared as if she'd just emerge from rehab She appeared as if she just woke up each morning. I needed her to behave that might be truly memorable, he added. Within the pages of Playboy, Lilos poses are nearly just like individuals of Marilyns legendary 1953 spread within the mens mag. While Lindsay was aboard for that reshoot, her handlers in the beginning weren't, because this time around she'd be fully nude. They wanted a bit more clothing and that i stated, You realize, this will probably be what its likely to be, because used to do a tribute here towards the original nudes, Hef described. Marilyn Monroes comment following the original shoot was, once they requested what she was putting on, [she] stated, All I'd on was radio stations. All Lindsay Lohan had on throughout it was radio stations! When requested when the actress showed up towards the photo shoot promptly, the Playboy magnate wasnt in a position to offer an answer, but stated if she was truly directing Marilyn, punctuality wouldn't be among her most powerful points. I have no idea the response to that, [but] if shes carrying out a tribute to Marilyn Monroe, I suppose which means she most likely didnt show on time because Marilyn didnt show on time, he told Rob. Marilyn was late also? Rob requested. Indeed, with regularity, Hef clarified. Regardless of the unauthorized, premature discharge of Lindsays pictorial, Hef continues to have high wants the problem. I believe you are able to rely on it, he told Rob, when requested if he thinks Lindsays problem is a bestseller. The publicity surrounding it and also the anticipation is amazing. Kenneth Branagh on Playing Laurence Olivier in 'My Week with Marilyn'
Kenneth Branagh on Playing Laurence Olivier in 'My Week with Marilyn' By Scott Feinberg December 12, 2011 Photo by Laurence Cendrowicz/The Weinstein Company Last week I had the pleasure of interviewing Kenneth Branagh, one of the most revered stage and screen actors of his era, and not a bad writer or director either, about his remarkable life and career. Branagh is probably best known for his work in the theater, but has, over the past 30 years, accomplished a great deal in the world of film, as well, most notably writing, directing, and starring in three of the finest adaptations ever made of William Shakespeare's "Henry V" (1989), "Much Ado About Nothing" (1993), and "Hamlet" (1996). Branagh has four Oscar nods to his name -- for best director and best actor for "Henry V" (1989); best adapted screenplay for "Hamlet" (1996); and best live action short for "Swan Song" (1992) -- and may soon add a fifth, for best supporting actor, for his portrayal of Laurence Olivier, one of his greatest acting heroes, in "My Week with Marilyn." Branagh rang me from Sweden, where he is now at work on his next film, and, over the course of 30 minutes, we discussed all of the above and more.Branagh was born in Belfast, Ireland into a working-class family. His father was a carpenter and his mother worked at the local fish-and-chips shop. When he was 10 years old, the family moved to Surrey, England, at which point Branagh undertook his first acting project: losing his Irish accent to avoid mockery in the classroom. By the age of 16, he was acting in serious school productions, and it was then that a teacher nonchalantly suggested to him that he possessed the talent to pursue acting for a living. The idea that he might be paid to do something that he so enjoyed made a profound impact on him, and became his greatest ambition. Just three years later, he was a student at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts and also made his big screen debut in a brief uncredited part in "Chariots of Fire" (1981), which went on to win the best picture Oscar, and by the age of 28 he had already accomplished enough to write an autobiography. In the early years of Branagh's career, in particular, he was frequently compared to the greatest actors of all-time, including and especially one of his own acting heroes, Sir Laurence Olivier.Of those sorts of comparisons, he says today, "Quite frankly, of course you can't live up to it, and you feel, sort of, overwhelmed and humbled by it." He didn't help to make them go away, though, when he elected to follow in Olivier's ambitious footsteps by adapting, directing, and starring in big screen adaptations of "Henry V" (Olivier in 1944, Branagh in 1989) and "Hamlet" (Olivier in 1948, Branagh in 1989); in-between those two, Branagh tackled the Bard's "Much Ado Nothing" (1993), as well. Branagh acquitted himself very well in those efforts -- so well, in fact, that many people have struggled to see him in any context but a Shakespearean one. ("I might have been boxed in by the association with Shakespeare or these kinds of parts," he acknowledges.)Consequently, his filmography since those movies has been less impressive than many expected it would be. His own take on "Frankenstein" (1994), Barry Sonnenfeld's "Wild Wild West" (1999), Chris Columbus' "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" (2002), his remake of "Sleuth" (2007), and Bryan Singer's "Valkyrie" (2008), to name a few projects, aren't all bad films... but they don't exactly sound like the sort of thing with which Olivier -- or "the next Olivier" -- would associate himself. So how was Branagh able to get out of this rut, of sorts? The solution came in the most unexpected but appropriate of opportunities: a chance to play Olivier himself in Simon Curtis' "My Week with Marilyn," which centers around the brief relationship that developed between Marilyn Monroe and a young stagehand during the making of the 1957 film "The Princess and the Showgirl," a troubled production that Olivier directed and in which he played the male lead. Who, after all, could be better qualified to play Olivier at the age of 50, in a bit of a career rut, but still one of the all-time greats, than Branagh, who currently fits precisely the same description.Branagh, who as a 19-year-old student at RADA exchanged letters with Olivier but never saw him in-person, says that he quickly embraced the opportunity to play the great actor, rather than run away from it, as many expected him to because it would inevitably reawaken those decades-old comparisons. He says, "I was grateful -- I felt as though I had, in some way, humbly earned the right to try and bring something to him." He goes on, "I did feel that I had a kind of understanding of the essence, the very particular and specific kind of effort, of entrepreneurial energy, and, you know, sort of, creative drive that would allow any actor to, you know, direct and play the title role in "Hamlet" or "Henry V" -- that takes a very particular, unusual set of circumstances and abilities." Above all, though, he says, "It felt like a sort of debt of gratitude... [I] felt totally, totally motivated to get it right for him."And so he set to work. Before "My Week with Marilyn" got underway, he visited many of the places that Olivier passed through during the making of "The Princess and the Showgirl," and revisited that film and many of Olivier's others. Once the production got underway, he would arrive on set early each morning, have a cup of coffee with costar Michelle Williams, and then spend two-and-a-half hours in a makeup chair listening to Olivier's rendition of the Bible as prosthetics were applied to give him a cleft chin; makeup was used to reshape his eyebrows and heighten his forehead; and Brilliantine was slicked through his hair. Once on set, he learned to wear a monocle like the one that Olivier wore in "The Princess and the Showgirl," and wore specially-commissioned shoes from the same shoemaker that Olivier used. And, now that the film has been completed and is out before the world, he hopes that it will have the same sort of rejuvenating impact on his professional life that "The Princess and the Showgirl" had on Olivier's.Branagh tells me, "This film, which was a glorious and joyous experience for me, leaves me wanting to have the same kind of bravery going into the next part of my career -- to jump in and be as brave, and courageous, and as artistically-adventurous as Olivier was." Alec Baldwin Angers Greyhound in Backhanded American Airlines Apology
Alberto E. Rodriguez/Getty ImagesLionel Wigram and Guy Ritchie After losing one film team, Warner Bros.' Man from U.N.C.L.E. could be gaining a new one. Guy Ritchie and Lionel Wigram, the director and a producer of the upcoming Sherlock Holmes sequel, are in talks to come aboard the project. Ritchie would direct with the duo producing via their recently formed, Warners-based shingle. Steven Soderbergh was to direct the project but dropped out in mid-November due to casting and budgetary issues. The project shouldn't lose any steam though, since it was well-developed and was teed up to go next year. The only real question is whether or not Ritchie and Wigram keep the previous project's 1960s setting. Soderbergh, meanwhile, is setting up a pharma-psychological thriller The Bitter Pill at Summit. Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows opens December 16. Ritchie directed the movie with Wigram, who came up with the concept of the modern-style take on the famed detective, producing with Joel Silver, Susan Downey and Dan Lin. Guy Ritchie International

New John Carter Poster: Red Dawn
The new poster for the long-delayed Disney caper John Carter, based on Edgar Rice Burroughs’ old series, is awesome in three ways: 1) It is quite red. 2) It is quite bold. 3) It looks like a Super Nintendo/Playstation video game cover. Maybe an RPG featuring shirtless warriors and choppy computer-animated sequences? And the vocals talents of Dana Gould? Or maybe it just resembles the video for Pearl Jam’s “Jeremy.” Whatever, all of these. Click ahead. You’ll note that this poster is less scary than the freaky screenshot we posted on Friday. Disney wants to be more inviting in some of its promotional materials, I guess. Shirtless Taylor’s silhouette is one way to achieve this. Hopefully Mr. Burroughs slips in some loincloth scenes when the going gets tough. We have an opening for a new Johnny Weissmuller, and Kitsch fits the sole criterion: junk that looks decent in jungle costuming. Weeee! John Carter comes out next March. ‘John Carter’ Gallery [Apple]

Robin Williams: Won't Host Oscars, Billy Crystal 'May' Be Interested
Robin Williams is known to have impeccable comedic timing. As a former Oscars host himself, Williams also has impeccable timing in calling this reporter mere minutes after Eddie Murphy stepped down as host of the 84th annual Academy Awards. Williams is promoting his voice work in 'Happy Feet Two' (you can read the full, wide ranging interview next week), but he also made his intentions clear on if he'd ever host the Oscars again, this upcoming year or any other. Though, his good friend Billy Crystal might be interested... Eddie Murphy just dropped out as host of the Oscars. I'm going to put you on the spot: Why don't you do it? No... Oh, please, that's a tough gig. I was so looking forward for him to do it. I think he would have just been amazing -- especially if they let him be characters. He could have made a movie. If he did a movie like what Billy [Crystal] did doing multiple characters, he'd be amazing. So you've never even considered hosting again? Never. Oh, no. I've done that gig. Years ago I co-hosted with Alan Alda and Jane Fonda and I pretty much saw my career flash before me, before I started. So, it was like, "No..." It's a tough gig. It's a weird night, man. It's pretty thankless in terms of if you do great, if they say that you're a little edgy, they say, "He's cool." If you're not, they're going to go, "He's timid." And I've had friends do it and really do great at it, but it's a really tough gig. You have to start now for a show that's, I think, in January. Right? In February. February, yes. So people start writing now. And Billy Crystal is so good at it... He's amazing. Do you think he would he want to do it again? I don't know. I mean, he may. Steve [Martin] and Alec [Baldwin] were great [in 2009]. I don't know. You know, it's a tough gig. It's a top heavy show, everything is loaded up in the front. And as it goes on longer and longer, people start to go, "Uh huh." But you hope for things like what Billy had. Just that moment when you really get a chance to break out and do something amazing. That's what people remember. Years ago I presented an award and I said that one of the categories was "Writer, Producer, Director: The only creature capable of blowing smoke up his own ass" -- and I got a lot of shit for that. Other Desert Metropolitan areas
'Other Desert Cities'A presentation by Lincoln subsequently Center Theater, in colaboration with Bob Boyett, of the play in 2 functions by Jon Robin Baitz. Directed by Joe Mantello.Polly Wyeth - Stockard Channing
Brooke Wyeth - Rachel Griffiths
Lyman Wyeth - Stacy Keach
Trip Wyeth - Thomas Sadoski
Silda Grauman - Judith LightHelmer Joe Mantello did a knowledgeable job of recasting "Other Desert Metropolitan areas" because of its Broadway transfer. Once the show preemed at Lincoln subsequently Center captured, it had not been obvious that Jon Robin Baitz's tightly wrapped family drama in regards to a patrician clan of Old Guard California Republicans even were built with a leading character. That ensemble vibe survives within this production, however with the magnetic Rachel Griffiths ("Six Ft Under") now using the lead in negligence the renegade daughter from NY, it's simpler to miss the artifices from the plot and surrender towards the drama. A stalwart Stacy Keach and also the invincible Stockard Channing reprise their particular roles as Lyman Wyeth, an old superstar who continued to become effective GOP bigwig, and the wife, Polly, as socially charming and politically calculating as her dear friend Nancy Reagan. Thomas Sadoski also constitutes a welcome return his or her boy, Trip, a great-natured producer of trashy reality-Television shows and also the type of mindful boy who'd spend Christmas Eve together with his parents. (The whitened-and-gold artificial Christmas tree within the family room is placed designer John Lee Beatty's witty method of taking the arid holiday spirit in Palm Springs, circa 2004.) Poor this bleached-out desert setting, it falls around the figures to provide all of the color. Within the original production, Linda Lavin made a particularly vibrant character of Silda Grauman, Polly's free-thinking, hard-living alcoholic sister, fresh from rehab and are available to reside together with her sister and brother-in-law. That role, which opened up up when Lavin went into Nicky Silvers' new play "The Lyons," visited Judith Light. Light (who performed another straight-shooter in "Lombardi") makes sharp work here of Silda's open sights on politics, religion and her sister's pretensions. But because she is not as vivid as her predecessor, the thesp causes it to be simpler for Griffiths to assert centerstage as Brooke Wyeth, the prodigal daughter who arrives using the manuscript of the memoir that accuses her parents of driving their older boy to suicide. Recently divorced and recuperating from the breakdown which had her put in the hospital for a long time, Brooke is not probably the most stable person on the planet. Elizabeth Marvel's provocative perf originated from that vulnerable condition of mental instability, making Brooke's volatile character appear harmful. In Griffiths' deeply compassionate perf, she results in weight loss rational and the majority more healthy: more thoughtful than brooding, intellectually curious instead of paranoid. Neither of those informative performances, however, can solve the improbabilities from the melodramatic plot, which dangles on the family secret lengthy hidden and implausibly never talked about. Even though Baitz ("The Substance of Fire") gives his articulate figures the wit and intelligence to visit fight on a variety of ideological problems that divide them, he studiously eliminates discussing anything as lively as politics.Sets, John Lee Beatty costumes, David Zinn lighting, Kenneth Posner seem, Jill BC DuBoff original music, Justin Ellington production stage manager, James FitzSimmons. SAG seeks seal on foreign levies info
OsmondThe Screen Actors Guild has asked a state court judge to seal information about how it handles millions of dollars of foreign levies as part of the settlement in the tangled class-action suit over the funds. Lawyers for Ken Osmond, who filed the suit over the funds in 2007, oppose the motion and assert that SAG is required by federal labor law to disclose any disbursements of more than $5,000. At issue is an exhibit dubbed a Foreign Royalty Status Table, which details the status of SAG's foreign levy program, including specific dollar amounts collected from the inception of the program through March 21, 2011. SAG is insisting that it has "an overriding interest" in protecting its confidential financial information which outweighs "right of public access" to the information. "If this motion is denied, then sensitive confidential financial information will be exposed, to SAG deteriment," the guild said in a filing to Superior Court Judge Carl West. The judge met with attorneys for more than an hour Wednesday and said he'd decided not to hold a public hearing that had been scheduled to address unresolved issues that he didn't identify, adding that he's scheduled a Jan. 10 hearing. "We have identified several open issues and reporting requirements," he told William Richert, the lead plaintiff in a similar suit filed against the Writers Guild of America. Neville Johnson, attorney for Richert and Osmond, said Wednesday that the confidentiality issue remains unresolved. He's contended that SAG's required to disclose the information to the U.S. Dept. of Labor under the Labor-Management Reporting Act in a Form LM-2 and that the majority of the dollar amounts detailed on Exhibit 1 are in excess of $5,000. "Further, the foreign levy funds detailed in Exhibit 1 are being paid out to members of the class, and thus are distributions of SAG," Johnson contended. "Therefore, the contents of Exhibit 1 are to be included in SAG's report to the DOL and must be included on the Form LM-2. As stated above, such report is to be made public. As a result, SAG has an obligation to make the contents of Exhibit 1 public." The Osmond suit was settled earlier this year and the Richert suit was setted in June 2010. In 2008, the Directors Guild of America settled a suit filed by William Webb. The lawsuits stem from "foreign levies" for American actors, writers and directors -- which began to flow in 1989 after the U.S. agreed to the terms of the Berne Convention, which established the right of authorship for individuals who create works of art. SAG, the WGA and the DGA began collecting the foreign funds in the early 1990s on behalf of members and nonmembers who had a stake in films and TV programs. The funds are collected from countries through mechanisms such as taxes on video sales and rentals to compensate copyright holders for reuse. All three guilds have denied any wrongdoing. SAG announced earlier this year that it had created an online Foreign Royalties tracker for actors and asserted that the guild has collected $18.1 million in foreign royalties for performers and had distributed $8.78 million in more than 273,000 checks to more than 76,000 individuals. Johnson said that both sides have resolved long-standing disagreements on the issue of engaging consultants Donald Jasko and Daniel Gervais to review the foreign levies programs at SAG and the WGA West. MTV Sets O Music Awards 2 for Oct. 31
Just six-months after their inaugural O Music Awards, MTV Music Group is back for more. The organization announced on Tuesday, Sept. 27 that they have set a second OMA celebration for Oct. 31, 2011.our editor recommendsMTV VMAs: Foo Fighters Follow Up 'Best Rock Video' Win With Raunchiest Clip Yet (NSFW Video) MTV VMAs: Lady Gaga's Performance: Twitter ReactionsMTV Video Music Awards: 10 Things Seen and Heard PHOTOS: MTV VMAs: Best and Worst Moments The digital awards show honors artists, innovators and fans of digital music culture in categories which include, Fan Army FTW, Best Fan Cover, Best Web Born Artist, Most Outrageous Tweet and Too Much Ass for TV -- for which the Foo Fighters' racy "Hot Buns" video is nominated. "The idea for this show really came out of this incredible moment that we were seeing in the convergence of music and technology, and kind of super fandom," MTV Music Group's vp of digital music strategy, Shannon Connolly, told The Hollywood Reporter. "The way that people were sharing and conversing and experiencing music on new platforms, [we] felt like it was a great time to spotlight some of the awesome things happening -- and to also challenge ourselves to kind of reinvent the award show model." While the first show lived on the web only (it was the group's second-largest live stream audience ever, behind the 2009 VMAs), they have opted to incorporate television airtime this time around, though no official details regarding the design have been confirmed. PHOTOS: MTV VMAs 2011: Red Carpet Arrivals "This is an award show for music fans. We wanted the fans to play a bigger role in the creative of the show," Connolly said. "We have five fan submitted categories that will be open for voting, as well as a nominee write in. What was really exciting from a production standpoint, was bringing the fans into the creative of the show. How we're gonna do that, I can't tell you exactly yet. But, physically bringing them into the show -- measuring who the biggest super fan of the OMAs is and giving them their own award -- we're not just doing lip service to 'by the fans and for the fans,' but actually letting them control the reigns and drive this creatively. That's the group we're honoring." Sponsors for the digital show include Dove, Trojan and L'Oreal, all of which will be integrated into the live experience of the show. Each company will also sponsor at least one of the categories. Voting begins Tuesday, Sept. 27 on the O Music Awards site. Each category includes pre-selected nominees, as well as a write in option. On Thursday Oct. 6, MTV will announce selected nominees who will be added to each category. Fans can also get involved on Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr. VIDEOS: MTV VMAs 2011: Red Carpet Interviews Contrary to budget busting awards shows like the Grammys or MTV's own Video Music Awards, the OMAs are a cost effective, profitable and a relatively quick event to plan. As a vehicle for digital music culture, the show also offers an opportunity to promote college radio. April's show -- without an on-air component -- resulted in high viewership of the live stream, 3 million votes and multiple trending topics on Twitter. A time for the event has yet to be revealed, though MTV still has several announcements up its sleeve. Connolly told THR that there are a handful of artists already signed on to perform in both live and pre-taped segments, and that their names will be announced as the event draws closer. Among the nominee leaders are Tyler the Creator, Lady Gaga, The Weeknd, Katy Perry, Demi Lovato, Justin Bieber and even Sinead O'Connor (Oops! I Did It Online and Best Vintage Viral Video). Cher, Nirvana, Lil Wayne, Iron Maiden, Dolly Parton, Bjork, Wayne Coyne, Scissor Sisters, Best Coast and Big Freedia are also up for awards. Director Eduardo Sanchez talks Blair Witch 3
Eduardo Sanchez, who co-directed the first The Blair Witch Project with Daniel Myrick, has talked about the potential for returning getting another film inside the series. In the speak with Bloody Disgusting, Sanchez gave an update concerning the status of Blair Witch 3, saying, "It's completely around Lionsgate."Serta which i you will need to take action. We've been toying around getting a follow-up proven fact that we really like. It's only dependent on getting our agendas in line and becoming Lionsgate sign off concerning the idea. We've been prepared to carry out a Blair Witch movie for just about any very very long time. We're as close to we now have are you currently that causes it to be happen but it's still not just a guaranteed factor."More youthful crowd handled to obtain apparent the 3rd instalment would without any reason overlook the risible follow-up, telling BD, "I truly loved the follow-up but concurrently it's available in the world outdoors in the movie. So to carry out a follow-up to Blair Witch Project, we should remain for the reason that world, which Book Of Shadows didn't remain for the reason that world."Book Of Shadows created another world. It's like once the follow-up to Jaws started with shots of people arranged to find out Jaws inside the cinema. For Book Of Shadows it labored in the certain way but in my opinion my finest gripe with Artisan was you shouldn't have referred to as it Blair Witch 2."It could have been fine to think of it as Blair Witch Tales. It was not a genuine follow-up towards the movie. So [Part 3] is a direct follow-up towards the film living because mythology of Burkittsville, being possessed, haunted by something."He added a couple of more interesting nuggets of intrigue, proclaiming, "At this time around, the idea does not have first some of it whatsoever, but we'll see... More often than not there's room for completely new tips to can be found in.InchSanchez also added the 3 primary stars/figures are needed to return, stating, "This program is always to request these phones [back]... They are likely not necessarily the main figures but they're certainly figures inside the follow-up."It's still tough to create a truly decent Blair Witch follow-up. Not only because Book Of Shadows am dire, but because of the very fact any extension in the story risks destroying the authentic chills and mystery in the original.Sánchez has directed numerous films in the last few years, although none have observed the impact of Blair Witch. His latest horror, Lovely Molly, just opened up in the usa.

Frederick Gordon-Levitt's 'Premium Rush' Trailer Ditches The Brakes
by John Phares Fixed gear, no brakes. Thats how Frederick Gordon-Levitt comes in the new messenger-bike-catch-me-if-you-can thrill ride, Premium Hurry. A minimum of hes wise enough to put on head gear. And it is a positive thing too, if my count is correct, Gordon-Levitt will get hit in what seems to become not just one, not two, but three different automobiles within the trailer, which appear to become near fatal accidents. Not just that, but he's sporting some seriously fancy bike moves. This is really far from his previous work, certainly. "Premium Hurry" has got the future "Dark Dark night Increases" star pitted facing the one and only soon-to-be General Zod, Michael Shannon, inside a classic situation from the wrong guy, in the wrong time. Its an account as old as wine to be certain, but Premium Hurry appears to become placing a new spin on things by tossing some bicycles in to the mix. Step aside cars, your time and effort has ended were goin eco-friendly and it will be glorious. The film concentrates on a mysterious envelope, which consists of, from things i can glean, a sticker. But it's a sticker very important. Especially to crooked cop, Michael Shannon, who'll visit absolutely nothing to intercept the envelope before it reaches its intended recipient. Things appears to become accumulated to some bike messenger meets cop meets unknown party (Im prepared to wager criminal syndicate of some kind) beat lower of epic proportions. Knowing incidentally actress Dania Ramirez wields that chain, my cash is about the motorcyclists. Premium Hurry is slated for any The month of january 2012 release, and appears to become one hell of the ride. Inform us what you believe within the comments section as well as on Twitter!

Meet The Secret Circle's Secret Coven of Witches
The Secret Circle Move over vampires: It's time for witches to shine. Thursday marks the premiere of The Secret Circle, a fish-out-of-water tale about an orphaned girl who discovers she's part of a secret coven of young witches who are coming into their own and discovering their powers. For those who haven't read the L.J. Smith novels the series is based on - and even if you have, the Kevin Williamson and Andrew Miller-produced CW show will be quite different - we asked the actors portraying the six witches of the coven about what's brewing with their characters. Let's meet the witches: Fall TV: Get the lowdown on this season's must-see new shows Cassie Blake (Britt Robertson) The new girl in Chance Harbor, Cassie was forced to return to her family's hometown after her mother was mysteriously murdered in a fire. Thrust into the world of magic, Cassie also will be faced with a more puzzling challenge: Her future is "written in the stars" with fellow witch Adam. Whatever that means. Good or evil: "A little bit of both," Robertson says. Power's a-blazin': "She likes to play with fire." Power Robertson would like in real life: "The power of flight." Struggles Cassie will face: "Initially the struggle is deciding to embrace the witchcraft or run from them like her mom did. Going further, you'll find that her dad and her past have a more evil side. Cassie is taking on the role of Faye [see below] a little bit and starting to rub the sticks together and create a little turmoil with the circle. She's trying to dive a little deeper in the magic world, a little too deep." Why viewers should like Cassie: "Because she's pretty [Laughs]. Just kidding. Because she's a superhero. The great thing about being supernatural is that they can literally do anything at anytime." Adam Conant (Thomas Dekker) Eternally conflicted hunk Adam finds himself in the throes of a love triangle. Though he loves his childhood sweetheart, Diana, he feels himself being pulled in Cassie's direction. Unlike most of the other coven members, Adam is just naturally good, brave and steadfast in his ways. Good or evil: "Good, for now," Dekker says with a grin. Power of love: "Controlling the elements, harnessing himself and others with nature and trying to control the out-of-control magic that occurs when he and Cassie are together now." Power Dekker would like in real life: "To be able to teleport myself to wherever I wanted at any given time because I'm sick of airplanes." Struggles Adam will face: "He's obviously dealing with the champagne problem of a love triangle with two really beautiful women. He's struggling to keep order in himself and the circle. As much as he likes to think he's in control, he's just as much of a mess as everybody else." Why viewers will like Adam: "At the root of his heart, he's a good person and probably one of the best in the show. He doesn't have an agenda and he doesn't want to hurt anybody, yet he seems to keep doing it over and over again." [Laughs] Diana Meade (Shelley Hennig) The epitome of good, Diana is the leader of the coven who welcomes Cassie with open arms, though the sparking flame between her boyfriend and the new girl occurs unbeknownst to her. Also, just because she's good, doesn't mean her father (Gale Harold) is. Good or evil: "She's a good witch, but you never know what's going to happen," Hennig says. Undiscovered powers: "As of now, we do crazy magic as a group and we're on the verge of finding out what each of us can do." Power Hennig would like in real life: "There's so many things I'd want. I think I'd get greedy. I'd like to fly on a broom instead of sitting in traffic for an hour." Struggles Diana will face: "There's going to be a triangle between Adam, Cassie and Diana. There's the relationship with Diana's dad, you may find out more about that. And keeping the group together. She's the leader of the circle and that's a lot of responsibility, especially when you're dealing with people who want to use magic for evil." Why viewers will like Diana: "She's sexy, she's smart and she's what most girls are aspiring to be," Dekker offers. "And she does well in school," Hennig adds. Secret Circle's Phoebe Tonkin is one of TVGuide.com's stars to watch this year Faye Chamberlain (Phoebe Tonkin) Resident bad girl Faye takes pleasure is other's discomfort, especially Cassie's when it comes to all things magic. Her devilish ways are only matched by her mother (Natasha Henstridge), the high school principal who keeps a close eye on the coven. Good or evil: "I think she doesn't know yet," Tonkin says honestly. "She starts out as a bad witch, but she starts to see that she's got some serious power now and that means some serious consequences. I think that's when Faye starts realizing her actions may end up hurting someone." Elemental power: "All the elements are a big part of the show - fire, wind, water, earth - it's all those nature elements." Power Tonkin would like in real life: "To fly because I hate getting on planes." Struggles Faye will face: "We're going to revisit some ex-boyfriends of Faye's. She's had some bad ex-boyfriends that have broken her heart. Her mom is obviously not a great influence and we're going to explore that. It's going to be nice to see exactly where Faye comes from." Why viewers should like Faye: "Ultimately she's not trying to hurt anyone. She's just trying to have fun. I think everyone can relate to just trying to have fun and not realizing that their actions have consequences. When she starts to realize what she's doing is quite bad, she really does feel bad about it." Melissa Glaser (Jessica Parker Kennedy) Faye's insecure sidekick, Melissa, tries to find herself in the growing coven. Good or evil: "She doesn't know," Kennedy explains. "She struggles with it every day. Faye is her best friend and she genuinely loves her, but Faye is kind of a naughty girl." Coven power: "When we come together our powers are really strong, as opposed to when we're apart." Power Kennedy would like in real life: "This is so boring, but I would really want to fly." Struggles Melissa will face: "That moral dilemma between good versus evil. She goes through a pretty crazy transformation a couple episodes down the road. She's also dealing with romance in her life." Why viewers should like Melissa: "She's one of the most earthy characters on this show. She really is passionate, speaks from her gut. There's a groundedness to her where all the other characters are figuring out what they want and what's going on. Even though she's having that moral dilemma, she's happy to speak about it. She's also got cool fashion sense." Check out all the familiar faces returning to TV this year Nick Armstrong (Louis Hunter) Neighbor to new girl Cassie, Nick is the quiet and mysterious bad boy who uses his good looks to his advantage. Good or evil: "I think he's good at heart," Hunter says. "All the core cast is good at heart, but things get in the way of that: Egos, vanity, greed and lust. He means well. He finds it hard to express it, especially through words. A couple of episodes in, you'll start to see who he is underneath the skin, underneath the brooding Edward Cullen face." Planting powers: "He has an especially good green thumb. He plants herbs, a special kind of herb that may be his own design that gets people happy." Power Hunter would like in real life: "To control time." Struggles Nick will face: "His parents died when he was about five years old and he's never recuperated from that. He's still dealing with issues of abandonment. In the next few episodes, he falls head over heels in love with someone who helps him get over the problems about connecting to another person, out of a lack of fearing of losing them again. He starts to become a man in his own right. That's his journey." Why viewers will like Nick: "The rest of the characters are going through a really traumatic time, hormonal changes as teenagers, but Nick is the most damaged, the most hurt, broken and estranged character out of all of them. It gives you something to sympathize with. At the same time, he's the bravest one in terms of running to the rescue of someone who's in need." Which witch sounds the most interesting so far? The Secret Circle premieres Thursday at 9/8c on The CW.The Hangover 2 Online Free

The Raid
An Alliance Films (in Canada) discharge of a PT Merantau Films/Abc Films/Celluloid Bad dreams presentation. (Worldwide sales: Celluloid Bad dreams, Paris/La.) Created by Ario Sagantoro. Executive producers, R. Maya Barack-Evans, Irwan D. Mussry, Nate Bolotin, Todd Brown. Directed, written, edited by Gareth Huw Evans. With: Iko Uwais, Joe Taslim. Doni Alamsyah, Yayan Ruhian, Pierre Gruno, Tegar Satrya, Ray Sahetapy. The ultimate credits roll, listing figures for example "Hole Drop Attacker" and "Machete Gang Member," only shows the amount of mayhem in Gareth Huw Evans' "The Raid." Indeed, moviegoers might want the projectionist could replay a few of the spectacular sequences within this incredible and extremely violent cop-versus.-gangster fight-athon, where a SWAT-like unit invades a 15-story building and needs to arrive at the top, floor by floor, to create lower the theif. Using the genre to some greater degree of intensity, the Welsh-born Evans continues what he began in the past Indonesia-set actioner "Merantau," but this pic will seal his cult status. As efficient since it's title signifies, "The Raid" provides a continuous sequence of action having a obvious and effective premise: If police can arrive at the top floor, there is a opportunity to bring lower major drug kingpin Tama (Ray Sahetapy). Further complicating matters is always that many cops within the unit are unskilled within the make of intense urban combat required here, which their corrupt boss, Lt. Wahyu (Pierre Gruno), may compromise the whole operation. That's about just as much plot because the movie can be involved with, or needs. Hard-ass cop Rama (Iko Uwais, "Merantau," inside a star-making role) is sparkling clean and tenacious like a bulldozer. In a few minutes of quietly penetrating the building's interior (the result strengthened by total silence on the soundtrack that otherwise provides huge punches of pure, sonic energy), Rama's males belong to assault by Tama's smartly placed models, including prepubescent spotters and endless supplies of dudes with heavy machine guns. Tama observes everything on the large bank of monitors in the control room, assisted by his callous henchmen Andi (Doni Alamsyah) and Mad Dog (Yayan Ruhian). Tama can also be in a position to deliver messages within the building's PA system, to ensure that everybody can hear his message, "We now have site visitors." It is the signal for those-out war. The ensuing 1 hour 30 minutes are largely a hands-to-hands, fist-to-face, feet-to-groin fight, having a couple of machetes and guns thrown in permanently measure. Pic handles to produce the feeling of the type of live-action ride, where Evans as conductor modulates the go up and down of action, and alternates pace and volume, with selected interludes of story to trap a person's breath. The result is exhilarating for audiences available to the sheer visceral sensation from the physical experience, no matter a person's predilection toward fight photos. Still, there's ample close-up, flesh-ripping violence to create even hardened audiences wince. The pic's combat style, silat, is definitely an Indonesian martial-arts form this is a more brawling type of fighting than more broadly known styles. Think about it as being the National football league overtaking kung fu, but a great deal nastier, using the action getting wilder the flooring -- and also the casualties in Rama's forces -- mount. It's not hard to your investment story altogether within the sheer hurry of Rama's fight up floor rather, audiences will question the way the amazing fight that simply ended may be capped. But it's, over and over. A five-minute fight that has flying, nipping areas of the body particularly shows the elegance within the fight choreography by Evans, Uwais and Ruhian. A lot more than most martial-arts photos, "The Raid" recalls the dwelling of the movie musical, where a simple story bridges the amounts and sequences. Ultimately, there's enough to among the pic's side tales (including siblings on opposite sides from the fight) that, drawn in tandem with righting the incorrect of political corruption, enables items to finish on the significantly satisfying note. Moti D. Setyanto's terrific production design represents the inside of the building like a perpetual maze, both up and down and flat. It isn't surprising the project required two lensers (Matt Flannery and Dimas Imam Subhono), because the camera frequently seems to ignore gravity inside a mission to obtain fresh angles about the fight. Technically, the pic's inside a league alone among Indonesian films. After this pic's first Toronto screening, producers introduced the soundtrack is going to be entirely modified by Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park. Although it will add an industrial kick towards the film, it will appear curious considering the brilliant soundtrack displayed in the screening examined.Camera (color), Matt Flannery, Dimas Imam Subhono music, Fajar Yuskemal, Aria Prayogi production designer, Moti D. The finest live webcast ever? Who knows? Who cares? What’s fun might be the shit we might come forth with. Nothing. No sponsor. No guide lines. Fuck me I am in a position to’t wait. Maybe I’ll execute a non-broadcast practice while using Emmys to determine if it does. I’ll let you know. [After Which ...] Wow. I’ve opened up up a can of worms. Or Even The planet the planet pandora’s box. Or released the Kraken maybe? I’ve had an amazing a reaction to yesterday’s blog entry. Not only was the idea received well, but we’ve had offers of sponsorship, tech support and lots of comics up with this. I don’t want people to think that that is some type of anti-establishment stunt. It’s not. Any more than identifying to carry out a podcast in 2005 was. It’s about new horizons, technology and artistic freedom. Fun basically. Although, essentially really take action, it'll show people how tame my official hosting was a year ago. I still can’t quite understand how anybody would think I overstepped the aim, was cruel, or pressed any restrictions of taste and decency. It absolutely was a network friendly gentle ribbing of the marketplace. Anything. I didn’t even dress as Hitler ultimately. Anyway. I’m thinking about it. Might not happen. I wouldn't be accessible.
